What is BOTOX?
BOTOX® injections are a safe, non-surgical, and FDA-approved way to treat fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and face. It was originally introduced in the 1980s by ophthalmologists for the medical treatment of muscular
spasms around the eye, an application that is still used today. BOTOX blocks the release of acetylcholine, which triggers muscle contractions, thus eliminating wrinkles for about 3 months. We offer both BOTOX and Xeomin® injections.
What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are FDA-approved injectable gels made of hyaluronic acid (a natural complex sugar found in all living cells). They help smooth out wrinkles and folds around the eyes, nose, and mouth, and plump up cheeks and lips. These
fillers are temporary, and will eventually be absorbed by the body. However, effects do last for approximately six months to a year. We offer both Juvederm® and BELOTERO® fillers.
What is Blepharoplasty surgery (“Lid Lifts”)?
Upper Eyelids: With time, excessive skin on the upper eyelid begins to droop and sag and can even touch the eyelashes. This excess skin creates a tired, fatigued, and older appearance. Makeup becomes difficult to apply and peripheral
vision may be compromised. When significant vision is affected, blepharoplasty can be deemed medically necessary and covered by most insurances. With this low-risk surgery, any excess skin and fat is removed to create a youthful and
refreshed look while restoring vision.
Lower Eyelids: Eyelid bags and dark circles lend to looking older and fatigued, and they are impossible to hide behind makeup. Genetics, variations in anatomy, excess sun exposure, aging, and herniation of orbital fat can all contribute
to the problem. Lower eyelid surgery can remove the excessive skin and unwanted bags to bring back your natural, youthful appearance and help maintain that look long-term.
